About the Author

Tom Smith, Ph.D.


Tom Smith, Ph.D. TOM SMITH has over 30 years of national and international multicultural consulting, presenting, training, education and counseling experience. Dr. Smith is bilingual (Spanish) and is significantly experienced working within a number of Asian and Latin cultures. He is well traveled throughout Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Southeast Asia, and he has lived and worked in the Philippine Islands, Singapore, Taiwan and Australia. Dr. Smith earned his M.S. in Clinical Psychology from San Jose State University and his Ph.D. in East-West Psychology/Organizational Development from the California Institute of Integral Studies, San Francisco. Dr. Smith has served on the faculty of JFK University since 2000 and on the faculty of the University of Phoenix since 2001.
