Jeffrey E. Barnett, Psy.D., ABPP

Jeffrey E. Barnett, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist in Arnold, Maryland who has been in practice since 1984. Dr. Barnett is also a Core Professor of Psychology at Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland where he teaches in the Masters and Doctoral programs in Clinical Psychology. He regularly teaches courses in legal and ethics issues in psychology, psychological assessment and testing, and techniques of counseling and psychotherapy. Dr. Barnett also has been a clinical supervisor and is a regular ethics trainer at several clinical psychology internships. Dr. Barnett is a past chair of the Maryland Psychological Association's Ethics Committee and a Past-President of MPA. He has numerous publications on ethics, legal, and professional practice issues in mental health and is a frequent workshop presenter on these topics.

Dr. Barnett is a Fellow of five divisions of APA and has been awarded the Outstanding Professional Contributions by a Psychologist Award by MPA and by APA's Division of State and Provincial Psychological Associations. He received APA's Karl F. Heiser Presidential Award for Advocacy in 2002. In 2004, Dr. Barnett received APA's State Leadership Award and he was elected a Distinguished Practitioner in Psychology in the National Academies of Practice. Dr. Barnett is an ABPP Diplomate in Clinical Psychology.
